Hacks holds the leading position in the market for medicated candies in Sri Lanka. Known for its refreshing menthol flavour, it is widely consumed as a mouth freshener or for temporary relief from throat irritation and cough.

Initially imported from the United Kingdom by Darley Butler Ltd in 1965, Hacks is now produced in Sri Lanka by Creasy Foods Ltd, a subsidiary of E.B. Creasy, using a formulation provided by Cadbury Schweppes Overseas Ltd, U.K. The manufacturing process adheres to international standards, and the product is marketed locally across the island by Darley Butler & Co. Ltd. The company’s emphasis on strict quality control measures during production to maintain quality standards, along with effective distribution strategies, has resulted in a yearly sales increase of approximately 15%.
